The committee considered the publication and submission of the Regulation 19 draft West Northamptonshire Local Plan. After deliberation, the committee resolved to reject the Regulation 19 draft plan. Instead, they agreed that a new local plan should be prepared under the framework of the 2026 National Planning Policy Framework and the Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2026. This decision means that the previously drafted plan, detailed in Appendix D of the reports pack, will not be submitted for examination. A new local plan will be developed, taking into account the latest national planning policies and regulations.
