Open Council Network is an independent organisation. We report on Lincolnshire and are not the council. About us
The Executive of Lincolnshire Council is scheduled to consider several key items at its upcoming meeting. These include proposals for flood resilience funding, a significant infrastructure bid for bridge replacement, a new strategy for the County Farms Estate, and the awarding of a contract for a digital bedroom system in a secure children's home.
Project Groundwater Extension
A report is scheduled to be presented regarding Project Groundwater, which aims to embed flood resilience measures within the Floods and Water team as a standard operational practice beyond March 2027. The report seeks approval for the reallocation of existing, unused flood resilience funds to facilitate this transition.
DfT Structures Fund Submission – Replacement of Langrick Bridge
The Executive is expected to receive a report concerning a bid to the Department for Transport Structures Fund for the replacement of Langrick Bridge. The report outlines a proposed £24.73 million bid to the fund, alongside a £1.5 million local contribution from the Highways Maintenance Capital Budget. This follows previous consideration of the matter by the Executive on 6 October 2026.
County Farms Estate Strategy 2026-2036
A report is scheduled for discussion concerning the County Farms Estate Strategy for the period 2026-2036. The Executive is being asked to approve the adoption of this new strategy for the management and development of the council's farms estate.
Secure Children's Home Integrated Digital Bedroom System Contract
The Executive is to receive a report that seeks approval for the direct award of a contract for a specialist integrated digital bedroom media and communication system within a Secure Children's Home. This contract would cover the commissioning, installation, software licensing, maintenance, and support of the system.
