The minutes of the previous meeting, held on 23 June 2026, were scheduled to be reviewed. This meeting was also attended by Councillor S Matthews (Chairman), Councillor R A Gibson (Vice-Chairman), and Councillors D Brookes, L Cawrey, T C Catton, A McGonigle, N R Oliver, and S W Clegg. Officers in attendance included Andrew Crookham, Chief Executive, and Thomas Crofts, Democratic Services Officer. Apologies were received from Councillors K Lee, R Davies, and D East. Councillor S Clegg was noted as replacing Councillor D East for that specific meeting. No declarations of interest were made at that meeting. The minutes of the meeting held on 7 October 2025 were to be signed as a correct record. The committee was to consider excluding the press and public from the meeting for the consideration of exempt information related to the permanent appointment to Executive Director - Resources and the permanent designation of Chief Finance Officer. The appointment of Andrew McLean as the Council's Executive Director Resources, and the endorsement and recommendation of Michelle Grady, Assistant Director – Finance, to Council for permanent designation as the Council's Chief Finance Officer were to be discussed.
