The East & South Buckinghamshire Area Planning Committee met on Tuesday 31 March 2026, where councillors debated and decided on three planning applications. The meeting also saw a change in chairmanship, with Councillor J Waters initially elected, followed by Councillor D Moore later in the evening.
The Academy, Stoke Poges
The committee resolved to defer and delegate the decision on the proposed Country Park at The Academy, The South Buckinghamshire, Stoke Road, Stoke Poges, SL2 4NL, to the Director of Planning and Environment. Approval is contingent on the submission of a satisfactory Habitat Management and Monitoring Plan within six months. If this plan is not agreed, the application may be refused. The proposal includes general footpaths, landscaping, a children's play area, the change of use of the existing clubhouse to a cafe with an associated toilet block, and an area for informal overflow car parking. This application is part retrospective, relating to land re-profiling with imported soil.

Glenlea, Chalfont St Peter
Planning permission was granted for a loft extension at Glenlea, 13 Peterhill Close, Chalfont St Peter SL9 0HZ. The approved works include hip-to-gable end walls, a rear dormer construction, and the replacement of the existing rear extension roof and front porch. The decision was made in accordance with the Officer's recommendation. Councillor Isobel Darby spoke as the Ward Member, and Professor Councillor Diane Mynors represented Chalfont St Peter Parish Council. Mr Stephen Little spoke in objection, and Mohinder Kalsi represented the applicant.
Penny Royal, Gerrards Cross
The committee voted to refuse permission for a part single storey, part two storey side and rear extension, and roof alterations at Penny Royal, Dukes Wood Drive, Gerrards Cross SL9 7LW. The refusal was based on the grounds that the ecology surveys submitted were considered out of date. Councillor Jaspal Chhokar spoke as the Ward Member, and Councillor Francis Nathan represented Gerrards Cross Town Council. Mr John Wood spoke in objection.
