The Scrutiny Management Board of North Northamptonshire Council approved the Scrutiny Assessment and Prioritisation Tool on 16 March 2026. The tool will be subject to an interim six-month trial period. The Scrutiny Management Board will receive periodic updates to review its efficiency and implementation.

The Scrutiny Management Board of North Northamptonshire Council approved the minutes of the meeting held on 22nd September 2025 on 16 March 2026. The Board also elected Councillor Trevor Conway as Chair and approved the draft Scrutiny – Executive Protocol and the Scrutiny Development Plan 2025-26. Additionally, they noted the items in the Scrutiny Work Programme 2025/26 and agreed not to proceed with a formal consultation of all Council Members for potential scrutiny items.

The Planning Committee of North Northamptonshire Council deferred the application for Oundle Rugby Football Club on 11 March 2026. The decision was to defer for further consideration of acoustic fencing and lighting by Environmental Protection.
