The Place Committee of Kingston upon Thames Council approved and adopted the Highway Infrastructure Asset Management Plan on 23 September 2026. This plan will serve as the guiding framework for the Council's highways maintenance services. The decision formalises a transition to a proactive, steady-state model for highway maintenance, focusing on early preventative treatments to preserve roads.

The Place Committee of Kingston upon Thames Council decided on 23 September 2026 to uphold objections to a proposed zebra crossing and rescind previous resolutions for its introduction. The committee agreed to investigate an alternative location for a new zebra crossing at the vicinity of no. 78 Coombe Lane West, subject to feasibility studies. Authority was delegated to the Director of Highways, Transport and Regulatory Services to review investigation findings and determine future action.

The Place Committee of Kingston upon Thames Council decided on 23 September 2026 that recommendations on page D1 of the agenda pack were not approved. The reporting requirements agreed under resolution (h) of the Place Committee on 21 September 2023 remained unchanged. Updates on planning enforcement regarding the former Pumphouse were provided.

The Place Committee approved recommendations regarding the "Every Councillor for Every Kind" motion on 23 September 2026. The committee agreed to encourage all members to sign the campaign pledge and commit to the five key animal welfare missions. A report will be brought back to the Place Committee in March 2027 regarding these missions.

The Surbiton Neighbourhood Committee decided to approve grant applications and Councillor Ward Funding allocations on 08/09/2026. The committee approved £2,800 for Surbiton Town Centre Partnership's Christmas event and £3,000 for Voices of Hope's Baby BRITE Box project. Additionally, £6,532.03 was allocated for two Christmas trees, £1,140 for a remote tree switch-on, £1,681.66 for two new benches on Alexandra Drive, £1,000 for Alpha Road Residents’ Association, and £750 for a new bench on Vine Close.
