Cornwall Council resolved on 15/09/2026 to request that the Cabinet recognise the importance of public engagement on decisions with environmental or public health impacts. The Cabinet is also requested to review existing decision-making processes to ensure sufficient assurance of early and proportionate consultation, and to consider enhancements to the Consultation and Engagement Framework. The review will determine appropriate enhancements and the outcome will be published.
