The New and Old Malden Neighbourhood Committee decided to approve a proposed permanent School Street Zone for Coombe Girls' School to proceed to local public consultation on 09 September 2026. Following consultation, the results will be presented for a final decision. The scheme will be implemented by Experimental Traffic Management Order, with authority delegated to the Director, Highways, Transport and Regulatory Services to confirm scheme details in consultation with the Chair and Ward Councillors.

The New and Old Malden Neighbourhood Committee decided on 09/09/2026 to approve the implementation of a new zebra crossing on South Lane outside house number 261. The committee noted the results of the consultation and agreed to inform residents and stakeholders of their decision. The scheme includes high-visibility Belisha beacons, extended zig-zag keep-clear markings, and high-friction road surfacing.

The New and Old Malden Neighbourhood Committee decided on 09/09/2026 to approve five applications for Neighbourhood Community Grant funding. These approvals were for Disability Challengers (£3,000), New Malden Town Centre Partnership (£3,000), Malden, Coombe and Kingston Branch, Royal British Legion (£1,090), Learn English At Home (£3,000), and Achieving for Children (£1,500).

The Corporate and Resources Committee, Council recommended to full council on 14 July 2026 that a separate Health and Wellbeing Board be re-established. The committee also recommended the de-establishment of the Kingston Partnership Board and that authority be delegated to the Monitoring Officer to make consequential amendments to the Constitution.

The Council decided to lobby the government for increased climate change funding and to publish a borough-wide Heat Resilience Action Plan by 31 December 2026. The Council also resolved to publish a timetable for its successor Air Quality Action Plan by 30 September 2026.
