The Aberdeenshire Local Review Body reviews decisions made by planning officers on local development applications. It is composed of six elected members, with one substitute from each Area Committee to ensure impartiality. The Body has the authority to determine appeals from applicants when planning applications for local developments have been decided under delegated powers, or when officers have not made a timely decision. Its procedures are governed by the Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Regulations 2013.
