Northamptonshire Police, Fire and Crime Panel approved the minutes of their meeting held on 4 February 2026. The panel endorsed the Police and Crime Commissioner's proposed police precept for 2026/27. They also endorsed the proposal to increase the fire precept by the maximum allowable amount without a local referendum, up to £12 per year for Band D Council Tax.

The Panel requested further information on staff sickness rates for Northamptonshire Police and Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service and noted an overview of how the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner supports and holds to account the Chief Constable and Chief Fire Officer for recruitment and retention. The joint Enabling Services team revised their recruitment campaign and recruited a dedicated Recruitment Manager.
